Logo: Madonna Impersonator Chris America 80s Like a Virgin MDNA Tribute Lucky Star
Tickets are on sale on Ticketmasters. Performing with the Material Boys and 22 other acts. Am sole featured Impersonator and will open the show. It should be a good event as it is in honor of Madonna's 50th birthday. Will debut the current Hard Candy / Roseland costuming complete with throne and dancers!
I appeared with Madonna's original camp:
Seated (left to right); Steven Lewikki - Madonna's First film director of " A Certain Sacrifice", next, one of her early boyfriends when she first came to NYC, Me, Erika Bell (orignial Back-up dancer in the Lucky Star video), Author Christopher Anderson who wrote one of the first biographies on Madonna and her brother Martin Ciccone.
June 2008 - I just don't stop... This month is crazy busy! I just got back from performing for a really great crowd at the Glamorous Boca Raton Resort in Florida. I have performed here a few times and it is such a beautiful place. My driver was one of Madonna's drivers who had some interesting stories - all good - and all very respectful of Madonna! How about that?! I have been driven this last year by George Bush's Driver and the Pope's in Europe as well! I will be heading out this next week to Arizona and then back to Florida and San Francisco. I am steadily working on new material when I am home and I hope to have it completed by Mid-to-late July...
May 2008 - Working thru June 26th, 2008: Much travel with a stop back home every 10 days...
I have much work in progress as well for the new album and act! I am looking forward to completing my materials as I have some good things in store!
Work is filling in for the rest of 2008...

Tuesday, January 01, 2008 NEW YEARS EVE:
Again, this New Years Eve was off the hook. I performed for a massive crowd on the very last day of closing for the oldest Hotel in Washingon DC's history - The Hotel Washington. It was over 90 years old. Truly a beauty in it's time but a fading star ready to retire...
This is the hotel Elvis stayed in when he came to Washington DC in the 70's to meet with Richard Nixon with the idea of becoming a Federal Agent against Crime and Drugs - remember that famous picture? He stayed in room 507. Anyway, the ballroom was one of the most crowded events in a building I have ever been to. My Husband tried to get some video footage and photographs but it was so crazy and crowded in the hotel that finding a decent spot was next to impossible. It took over 15 minutes just to get to the staircase and another 5 to get to the lobby.
I did 3 sets of 14 songs and the final countdown to 2008. My wonderful Husband assisted me and it was a great evening. The Hotel was covered in the Washington Post on New Years Eve. It was kind of emotional to know this would be it's final night in over 90 years since it opened. I have several fond memories of this hotel, mainly eating at their famous rooftop restaurant that overlooks the city, the White House and the Washington Monument. I came here with my husband for a few romantic dinners, my mother for lunch and even after my father's funeral - this is where my brother and I got toasted from a truly draining day after Dad was buried. 90 years in a blink of an eye. Humbling.
I leave for corporate events in Las Vegas on the Jan 3rd at the MGM Grand and Hard Rock Hotel to return on Jan 10th.

DEC 2007: Greetings this Holiday Season! This year brought so many new aspects to me both personally and professionally. I was able to grow in both ways trying new things work-related and even pulled out some weeds that seemed to hold me back from doing better. That included new ideas that take you out of your familiar comfort zone, trying new activites to expand my level of mental and physical potential. I feel great satisfaction at accomplishing tasks that I was reluctant to try for the longest time. I learned a great deal about being open to new ideas and said goodbye to circumstances that drained me of my time and energy. I am grateful for colleagues who are business minded and hold standards high. I've been dabbling with recording too.
DEC 07: I PERFORMED FOR THE WHITE HOUSE STAFF THIS WEEKEND AND IT WENT EXTREMELY WELL! THE STAFF REALLY KNOWS HOW TO HAVE A GOOD TIME AND WERE TERRIFIC TO PERFORM FOR!

Get Lit: Fame Us: Celebrity Impersonators and the Cult(ure) of Fame, by Brian Howell
Sun Jan 20, 2008 at 06:06:18 AM
Brian Howells Fame Us: Celebrity Impersonators and the Cult(ure) of Fame is a great coffee table book. I know, because its been sitting on mine for a week, and every visitor Ive had has been unable to resist flipping through the entire thing.
The cover grabs you straight off its a photo of two Mick Jaggers, and everyones first impulse is to pick it up and get a closer look, trying to determine which is the real deal. The answer: a shocking neither. Both Micks are dead-on doppelgangers of the rocker.
The book starts with a meditation on The Celebrity Image thats interesting enough, but of course the real meat of the book is the photos themselves. Theres an amazing Angelina, a must-see Madonna, a perfect Paris, and a Bono that is, simply Bono. (Isnt it? Has to be )
Its fun to read what they have to say, too. The Johnny Depp look-alike points out that while the stars a recluse, hes not, which has interesting consequences. We [impersonators] actually experience fame on a lot more levels than they do. Sometimes I want to be left alone. But you dont want to represent your star as a jerk, so there is some responsibility in a weird kind of way.
Conan OBriens impersonator might need to get over himself a little. He created a character, Clonan, that was featured on TV and in magazines, but alas, the famous life was too much for him. I have retired I dont want to be famous anymore. I am/was the worlds most famous celebrity look-alike I hate looking like someone famous I would do anything to have my life of anonymity back. The ironic part is, while its easy to imagine Johnny Depps impersonator getting mistaken for the star, Conans doesnt look much like him.
But enough rambling. This book must be seen to be believed -- especially the photo of a fake Hulk Hogan hanging with a fake Bill Clinton. Priceless! Cathy Matusow

It may seem like only yesterday but 25 years ago on April 24, 1982, Sire Records honcho Seymour Stein released a single called Everybody on Warner Bros. Records by an unknown singer from Rochester, Michigan by the name of Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. To say the world would never be the same is an understatement. The song went on to become a huge dancefloor hit and was heard all over the radio in the Summer of 1982. That little girl from Michigan would go on to become one of the most famous entertainers and cultural icons in history - selling close to 200 million records and remaining a star of enormous magnitude and influence for the next 25 years. Shes just getting started. Long Live the Queen and Happy Anniversary to Madonna.

Back in the day my big "Claim to Fame" besides being on Oprah - was being selected for the cover of ESQUIRE MAGAZINE as "Madonna" and it caused quite a stir! Now, many years later, it is a Collector's Item and periodically pops up on EBAY. A third of the time they note it is Chris America on the cover, then two-thirds they write it is Madonna. The ads do get relisted a lot, but occasionally it sells for up to $15! I got a full "15 Minutes of Fame" from this gig back then and I'm still getting good mileage out of it! This cover was also printed for Esquire's Italian print Issue as well.
CHRIS AMERICA ON EBAY
Chris America in the "Ghetto Fabulous" Cowboy "Music" garb...in the soon-to-be-released 2007 Film Bamboo Shark. Several look-alikes were cast for this novelty film that will almost certainly make it a cult classic!
